We genuinely have no idea. mine had a hairline crack which is probably a stress crack that widened and opened the cuircuit very shortly after we started playing the cymbal. I would consider this an engineering If your feeling left out break it.

When I hit the orange cymbal it sometimes also it's the red pad with it hence why I was missing notes. This has happened with a number of people, including people who have posted on this forum with the same problem, and there's not a whole lot you can do other than I got this problem thingy.
