I haven't had the things for too long now -- about two weeks -- and they aren't abused whatsoever. If you choose to try and remove the bandage to inspect more closely be VERY careful. so there isnt a problem with the individual cymbals but possibly the wiring or some processing chip inside. Cut Cymbal side as close as possible to jack.
Strip back maybe 10mm or more.

Speaker wire same as above.
Use Earth, black line along speaker cable, for Earth connection.
Positive for Positive.
