They never cease to amaze me. The default imagery layer is super-high res plane flown imagery taken in February 06, but now I can access satellite obtained high quality imagery from January 2008! If you're looking for the most recent imagery, you may be able to find it by exploring the Historical Imagery Time Slider. Google Earth 6 The oldest one I've found is Washington, DC in 1999 (and it's surprisingly high-quality, even by today's standards).
