Hi Tom,

I came across this article while doing a little research. If you restrict visitor cookies to only your path, campaign and session data for another part of www.example.com will not be included in your reports, since the cookie path is restricted. If traffic is from www.simoahava.com to test.simoahava.com, the _ga cookie is shared, and all is well. Subdomain Tracking Google Tag Manager But, like I said, you will continue to see self-referrals until the campaigns expire (default 6 months) or the visitor lands on some other, non-direct source to your site.

Is this something that needs to be set up prior to implementing the code (new installation) or is this something that is filtered out afterwards.

Tom, there's So it made perfect sense to me that these self referrals are caused by the incorrect handling of subdomains by Analytics. Further I click on Icon given next to displayed Full URL to visit to same domain page, in browser the page opened but the double domain name comes so page not Each organisation manages their's separately.

I'd be so grateful for any help or advice!
